No Leave No Life

South Australia Stars in National Television Show

Highlights of South Australia will star in Channel 7’s series No Leave, No Life, which encourages Australians to use some of their stockpiled leave and take a break in Australia.

Filmed in September this year, the Barossa, Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula featured in the thirty minute episode.

No Leave No Life

The episode follows Kerry and Alex from Sydney as they unwind in SA after Kerry was selected as an ideal candidate for the show. The program features people who who are diligent workers, rarely take annual leave or and deserve a break.

SATC Director of Marketing and Communications David O’Loughlin says the concept behind No Leave, No Life is important.

“Australians have a great work ethic but it’s also crucial to realise that taking a break is incredibly valuable not only for one’s own health, but also for making great memories with loved ones and returning to work reinvigorated,” Mr O’Loughlin says.

“During Kerry and Alex’s week in South Australia, they consistently said that spending quality time together away from the distractions of work and everyday life was extremely rewarding.”

The Barossa, Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula were chosen to feature in the South Australian episode because of their stunning scenery, quality food and wine, diverse range of attractions and proximity to Adelaide.

During their week in SA, Kerry and Alex rode trikes in the Barossa, made cheese in the Adelaide Hills and flew in a biplane over Aldinga. In the Barossa they also tasted their birth year of Port at Seppeltsfield Winery and helped make barrels at Yalumba, while Kerry also got a ride in a Targa car. On the Fleurieu Peninsula, the couple also went out in a big rubber duck off the coast.

“Having South Australia feature in No Leave, No Life, which is now in its third series, gives us the chance to showcase the best of our beautiful State to the rest of Australia,” Mr O’Loughlin says.

Viewers who see Saturday evening’s episode and want to take part in some of the adventures Kerry and Alex experienced can head to the No Leave, No Life website after the episode airs to plan their next holiday.
